Nobody here can give you a straight YES/NO answer as there may be other factors in play. The only person who can answer this for you is your consultant. The guidelines suggest a continuation for at least three months after the procedure.

I have had a successful Ablation and have been told I will be on Edoxiban for the rest of my life. The reason stated was the fact the people who were once in AF have a higher risk of returning to AF and being on anticoagulant drugs will ‘zap’ any clots that have formed before AF has not been diagnosed.

I look at it as a reassurance that I am on an anticoagulant, just being extra careful with anything that may cause an injury, such as cooking with knives and diy.
