Ablation for SVT

Simontaylormills profile image

Here's a thing.

I had an ablation procedure for SVT on the 21/3/18 and ended up in hospital the next day for 3 bouts of SVT,.

The first set my heat rate was about 130bpm for about 35 minutes

Second bout about 115bpm for around 20 minutes

And the third one was around 165bpm for around an hour.

We called 999 at was taken in to hospital straight away.

Has anyone else experienced this??

Hi Simon

I’m waiting to have an ablation so you haven’t filled me with a lot of hope lol. So did it just get worse after your ablation and also do you know why I’m interested keep me posted

I do seem to have more difficulty getting up stairs now but that maybe due to the other issues they found after an ecocardiogram.

I do however feel a little less tired at the moment so that's a positive thing.

I'll keep you posted on how I feel over the next few weeks.

I'm feeling a little better now, lots less Pulpertations and arrhythmia. Things are going well.

I'm still out of breath but I am waiting on a pulmonary valve replacement in the next few months.

My consultant has looked at the results and no more bad stuff is happening now 👌👌👌👌

That’s really great news Simon will you keep me informed as I have an interest in this as I’m waiting for a ablation myself and would like to know how you are coping after having it done 🤙🏻

It seems my ablation didn't work. I ended up in hospital again with atrial fibrillation with a heartbeat of 147-168 for about 8 hours.

Sad times 😔

Did they say you have to have it done again. I can relate to how you feel because right now I’m feeling like a heavy weight in on my chest nearly went to A&E last night but held off. I wonder why it didn’t work for you?

They think another pathway has appeared. I have a follow up appointment in June.

I'm not sure what the plan is but there was talk of expediting the valve replacement but also talk of a re-ablation.

One of the Dr's was unsure if they would ablat again as he felt they might just end up chasing the ablation.
