Hello and welcome to the forum! Generally it is taken in the morning so it has its greatest effect during the day (result of half-life). Sometimes it is beneficial to split the dose between morning and evening - this may mean a increase in total daily dose. Have a word with your GP and do not try this without speaking to him first.

I take at night but I posted a similar question about two weeks ago. Alot of people take it in the morning but some take at night to relieve tiredness

I take mine in the morning (2.5mg). I go through peaks and troughs of feeling lathargic but this week has been really good so far with little to no dips. I do tend to get ectopics towards the end of the day, not so much whilst in bed thankfully.

I've recently restarted a weight loss regime having put on > 1stone in the past 6 months as my cardiologist recommended I loss 1.5 stone. I've started eating a lot less processed foods and reduced food quantity in general, only eating something small in the evenings rather than a ready meal or something similar. I must admit my ectopics have reduced significantly to only a handful a day.

Apologies going off topic but I do think I'm very sensitive to MSG. The last AF attack I had that required cardioversion was the morning after having a chinese takeaway. Go figure.

Our GP stressed it's a morning pill. Not sure what the leaflet in the pack says though xxx

Take mine in morning.

Should be taken morning to do its job during the day when u are most active.

The Bisoprolol is at its most potent in your blood just 2hrs after taking then Then decrease as the day goes on, however if u miss a dose or stop taking it will remain to some extent in your system for 2-3 weeks.

Thanks

My EP said to take in the morning. Told me it can interfere with your sleeping and as I already have hot sweats to contend with, I can do without any more restrictions to a good nights sleep! Seems to suit me ok. Always take with breakfast.
