It might be different at each hospital, but at mine pre-op tests are valid for 3 months. I was told if time went over that, they would do a quick re-assessment on my arrival on the day of the op. You could always give them a polite call, just to check & ‘remind’ them you’re waiting! Hope this helps & good luck with your op and recovery.
I had a 4 hour pre op assessment on 31 March and was told I would be on 6/8 week waiting list
On 30 April I went back at short notice for a vein scan
Now that the 8 weeks is up enquiries of the clinical nurse specialist reveal that the surgeon is on leave till mid-June and that the admissions co-ordinator will get in touch when the surgery is scheduled -normally with a week's notice of admission
I spoke to the waiting list co-ordinator at Essex Cardiothoracic Centre today and she said the pre-Op's are valid for 12 weeks. She said it was looking like mid to end June. (This would be just within the 12 weeks) I don't know where you're having your surgery but all the very best to you and I wish you a speedy recovery.
