I too had a similar experience with the sharp pain and was told that it was the stents settling in. The heart has been through a lot , first the Heart Attack and then someone rummaging around putting objects into the arteries 🙂 all in the same day! However, give your Cardiac team or the Cardiac ward a call just to double check and put your mind at rest.

Thanks for your help I did mention to GP and they said only to be expected after only a few days of someone rummaging around your heart. Just seems every pain or twinges now even those not related to heart you notice more, probably before wouldn't have given second thought, will get over this in time, early days, only been a week today. Thanks again.

Yes I think all of us will concur that we are more aware of every twinge in the chest area . I promise it will lessen as time and confidence increases. But do adhere to the do’s and don’ts regarding activity.

I had it terribly for first few weeks. Pulled them trying to hoover after a few days. I still get the odd twinge 4.5 months in. But infrequent enough that it’s rarely on my mind.

David how often does it occur and what did GP say about twinges.

Very rare now. Never asked the GP....rehab don’t acknowledge that its related to the stent. They always thought it was psychological.

Hiya, had one stent fitted two weeks ago after Angina. I am getting the same type of pains as you are but have read on a lot of reports that it can take several weeks to settle down. Not worrying so much after reading that this seems to be quite normal.

My cardio people tellme it isprobablly the meds and my body will adjust - but my husband is getting fed up with my inability to walk further than about a mile ... nobody warned me it would ake seemingly forever .... i was so worried I called 999 and havd two subsequent trips to A and E where I was checked out and told I was fine ...
