Having twinges of discomfort

Woke up this morning having a few twinges of pain not sure if it's related to the heart valve. I'm just resting because I'm feeling quite tired. I'm not sure if it's indigestion I'm feeling! If it becomes any worst I'll ring doctors xx

hello, resting is always good. Twinges could be anything, you do feel absolutely every one of them. Most if not all are just usual but you are right to go to the doctor if they worsen

Hi thanks for your response I've applied some ibrufen gel on the sore areas. In between my breaststroke and near my breast bone feels very tender and swollen to touch not sure if means anything. I think since I went to hospital last month I feel a bit panicky lolxx

its the same for most I think, being overly aware of your symptoms and not knowing if its that or just a twinge. You know better than anyone your own body and how you feel

Yes as above, I get twinges a lot from reflux I think? But every so often, if there is other symptoms, I feel confused. Is it the heart, or is it reflux, so frustrating.

If you don't normally have the twinges & this feels different, then a phone call never hurt anyone.

Have you taken GTN, that can help both angina & reflux.......

I don't know what that means GTN I took some aspirin and paracetamol and I'm just resting a bit.

Hi I've looked it up and I have not been given the spray when the doctors did a angiography on me he said that all my valves are clear I don't need it. So I was discharged with no medication. I do have simvastin to take and ramapril. But the echoigram showed I had moderate aortic regurgitation and moderate mitral valve regurition xx

Yep they wouldn't have given you it after your bypass, because they have generally fixed the issue. They didn't send me home with any ether, but I already had some.

So when I was having some issues last week, my Gp said to take it if I felt worse.

Thankfully, that all seems to have settled down now. I think it was more anxiety due to the stresses & strains in live in general. Was sent to cardiac unit & they also thought it was down to anxiety.

So no, GTN wouldn't be something you would need. Best thing, make notes of when it is troubling you, what time description etc. Then if you do feel you should be calling for professional advice later. You have then got a bit of symptoms history & information, to help them work it out.

Try not to over think, you can't fix what you don't know or understand. Just rest & make the phone call if symptoms don't improve or if they worsen Jo :)

Thank you for your advice I will take it all on board. Your right sometimes if we read into things wrong we can create anxiety for ourselves. Thank you once again I will rest easy now. Xx
