It fades after a few week or so ,

Tried taking it at different times but found but before breakfast was best for me .

jollyness, if it were me, I wouldn’t let the nausea go on too long without checking with your doctor in case the Amlodipine is adversely affecting your liver - Amlodipine is processed by the liver.

Meant to add, eating a small pot of ‘live’ yoghurt before taking the medication may help to avoid the nausea as it will act as a stomach liner.

Thanks for that I’ll give it a try.

It should pass in 10 days or so, but if not, it's wise to see if your Doctor can prescribe an alternative med. I also had probs with this drug for first week or so.

Good luck,

Drew

This med was fine at 5mg but when increased to 10mg caused my legs to swell. Yesterday the Consultant put me back to 5mg and gave me Isosobide - so I'll give that a try HOWEVER at 10mg the Amlodopine did keep my angina attacks at bay.

I was told best time to take Amlodipine was last thing at night.

So I take it just before bed.

It avoids some of the side effects.

But still does the job it's supposed to do

Once it's in your system.

Side effects are mild usually and do go off after a while.

If worried check with your Doc 😷.

Good idea, take before going to bed, that should hopefully stop the dizzy spells
