Mums op has been postponed until Thursday due to them wanting to do a lung function test. Result is 50%. Chances of complications are at 10-15%. I’m nervous again. We’ve been through a lot as a family but this is really taken it’s toll.

I'm so sorry for you, your family and mum. Try to think on the positive side. No complications at all it 85/90%. I think they have to look on the dark side. They did that with my husband when he finally (5th time lucky), had his heart repaired. We both had to sign a 'disclaimer' (death, brain damage, circulatory problems etc. etc.).
Just keep us posted as sometimes it really helps to get things down on paper. I know this forum helped me such a lot through the bad times.
We're thinking of you xxxx
It is very difficult when surgery gets moved but it is better they dot as many “i’s” as possible beforehand than hit a problem part way through.
My husbands surgery was brought forward by 5 days but on the morning it was planned there were doubts about it going ahead as there was an emergency that meant the theatre was in use! That hour of uncertainty was dreadful as we had both built ourselves up to it and then we’re faced with another week of waiting, however that didn’t happen and his surgery went ahead as planned but about 3 hours later.
Is your mum at home or in hospital at present?
Use the extra day for something special if you can. Thinking of you and hoping everything goes well for your mum. xx
