Been trying to get through to the cardiology department for 2 hours still not spoken to anyone just says they are not available
Update: Been trying to get through to... - British Heart Fou...
Update
Most secretaries seem to work part time at our local hospital so it very hit or miss to get through to one of them....and nobody ever rings back these days.
You may be able to locate an email for your local cardiology department online using their hospital site if you don’t hear back or get through to them via the phone. I have the same problem with my local cardiology department so I made sure I got the numbers of two different secretaries’ if I cannot get through to reception which you might want to consider in the future.
Good luck.
Tos
My hospital never answer the phone, their mailbox is always tagged as full. It is totally impossible to get through They don't answer emails either. Not good. Hope you can get through somehow.
Hello
Keep trying and leave as many messages as you want
Do you have a email address for them if so I would be sending them as well
Good Luck I hope they get back to you
Let us know how you get on x
I think I have an email address at home will have a look when I get back home, Thanks
Just sent an email to cardiology department
It will be interesting to see if you get an email reply. The hospital urology secretary (with whom I have a really good working relationship) told me they won't reply to or send out emails due to 'patient confidentiality'. Texts, letters and phone calls are fine.
If you are close to the hospital you might try going along and speaking to their receptionists.
Will look into it ,Thanks
I resorted to writing a letter to get a response from my cardiologist department.
been like that for months with mine
Then the cardiologist secretary gets your hope up by having a answer phone but you never get a return call
I have been waiting for a 72 hour ECG holster monitor since last September,Also waited for an Echocardiogram 13 months only got in then because of cancellation
As much as I have always admired our NHS, that admiration is beginning to wane, so much so, that when I pass hospital picket lines, I no longer feel supportive, which is very sad. Perhaps us patients should be more organised and protest about such appalling services. It's the same old story, from GP practices to hospitals and I won't even touch on all the services that have been cut!
Sorry Gaz22 not the most helpful of replies
They leave you no choice but to call the ambulance if you are calling because you are unwell..going to the A&E may also become a day trip with many ill people waiting for hours..it seems that the NHS needs a new set of leaders..more staff and definitely new rules..it is not as if you are calling to shoot the breeze..you are calling because you need help..shame on them..I know people will reply how busy they are..but but does not solve the problem..
Copy the newspapers as well..each and every time...you need to force them to respond in a timely manner.
Hi sorry to hear what happened and the trouble you are having getting through to the hospital, I really hate having to try and phone them, I think it's just luck if the call gets picked up, could your GP try and get an appointment they might respond to them. I hope you get a response soon. Char
Had a go appointment last week, They said I need to get in touch with cardiology myself also said give it a couple of more weeks for cardiology to get in touch
Also GP said they don't want to alter my medication till I have seen cardiology department
Hope you're doing ok xxxxx
Hi still in a bit of pain and frustrated that I can't do much at the moment. I have managed a couple of small walks round the block, I just need to be more patient and realise that recovery will take time. Char x
You'll get there Char. I hope springtime will land soon as that always makes you feel better! Off for a CT scan next Thursday so fingers crossed. Just hope Gaz22 gets some response. Love and hugs. Jan xxx
This is what socialist systems do.
