UTI linked somehow ??

Hi my husband has got a urinary tract infection and wondering if it’s at all related to the medication he takes - Clopidogrel 75mg

Atorvastatin 40mg ?? Looking at the side effects it doesn’t say so. He had stents fitted last month so this is all new. He has never had a UTI before off to the GP this morning but wondered if anyone else has had same issue or if it’s unconnected.

Hi I used to take Clopidogrel. I did not have any problems with it. Was changed to Apixaban as the Consultant thought it would suit my heart problem better.

I also take the same medication as your husband plus a few more and this is my third UTi in 5 years of being on the meds. It appears to be more coincidence than a reaction however that said, it is important that they monitor his kidneys and liver annually, to ensuring that they are not being damaged by some of his heart meds.
