Hello and welcome to the forum! I assume you are on warfarin. If you are eating a healthy diet and not consuming more than two units of alcohol up to five days a week there are alternative medications available. Erratic diet and excess alcohol make it impossible to control INR - note I am not suggesting you do but mention it for completeness re I R.

I can sympathise with you I have been on warfarin for 12 years not and my INR is always fluctuating my range is high 2.5 to 3.5 as I have various conditions. The longest that it has been in range is 10 weeks. It was under last Monday. The biggest changes are when I eat foods with vitamin K in or not. Look them up they are broccoli, spinach etc. I have just had to live with a regular visit to the clinic on a Monday. I now only worry if it get to high. Alcohol does effect it but only if you drink lots. I ask the nurse if it is common for it to change so offen and he said he sees it all the time.
