I hope all my Heart buddies , those waiting to start the journey and those who are into their own journey, who have crossed over from pre-op to post-op I hope for the Christmas period and beyond you are :

Whatever regime, diet wise or alcohol wise you’ve decided to follow just loosen the belt a bit and eat what you want and drink what you want this Chris5mas and pick it up again afterwards it will make you feel normal and like everyone else in your family. We want lots of laughter and smiley faces no feeling sorry for ourselves in any way. Just enjoy yourselves
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to my BHF forum Family
I love you all and appreciate all the support I’ve had.
Big Hugs and Kisses to you all

Hi Pete, best wishes for a great Christmas and New Year to you too. Hope your recovery continues to go well.
I’m looking at getting an exercise bike in the New Year to try and get a bit fitter. I can’t do much walking as it aggravates my back so thought I could set it up downstairs and cycle whilst watching telly 😛.
Hi Wendy - just to say my husband bought me a set of pedals from Lidls - £20 ish - two pedals on a small stand with a display. I sit on the sofa watching t.v and pedalling..... the only problem i have encountered is the pedals tend to move a bit if you pedal hard and push with your feet. Small, portable and cheap exerciser. I wanted a bike but nowhere to put it...... just a thought. Happy Christmas to everyone and best wishes to Pete.
I did look at those but I would have a problem with that, well several furry problems actually - 5 cats who like to sit on my lap (not all at the same time, but have had one on my lap and one on my stomach before now) and won’t take no for an answer! Thankfully we’ve got room for a bike.
Thats good advice, and I agree with you, 'tis the season to relax and enoy life. Even our rehab gym has closed down until New Year
So Seasons greetings to you all and let's enjoy this second or third stab at life that we've been given and I'll add my gratefull thanks to all those on this forum
Merry Christmas to you as well Pete your post both inform and keep me smiling your like a cup of hot chocolate on a winter night if that makes any sense. All the best.
Merry Christmas Pete! It sounds like you are in fine fettle after your adventures in 2018! You’ve helped so many of us who have gone in after you - and I’ll never know how you found the time and strength to do all your funny posts from day 1!!!!!
Anyway, the past is past.... and bring on 2019! Hope it’s a great year for you cos you deserve it!!!
Excellent sentiments Pete. For me the best gift this year is just being here and out the other side and recovering with my family. The second best gift this year has been discovering this amazing, supportive community - all of you. Thank you.
So let me echo you to say I hope 2019 continues to improve for all of us post-op and that for those of us pre-op or in the throes of surgery, that 2019 is the start of a new, positive chapter.
Merry Christmas everyone and happy new year Nic xxx
I know exactly what you mean - any present bought in a shop means nothing compared to just being here and looking out at the rain!!!!!! (Never thought I’d say that!!)
Have a great Christmas and let me know how you are.
Well said Pete. Yes, I'm going to let my hair down a bit over Christmas and really enjoy it. Thanks for being so positive and have the very best of Christmases yourself.
Lovely Christmas message Pete. Always makes me smile when I read one of your posts.
It’s been great to follow your journey - and others who have also had their ops and recovering now. Really helps to reassure me when I read how well everyone is doing.
Have a lovely Christmas Pete (and to all the BHF forum!) and I know you will have an amazing New Year!
I’m now in a position where I can help others come to terms with the shock news I and loads of others received in 2018 before we all came out the other side and better for it 😀😀
Merry Christmas Jan and I hope all your dreams come true in 2019
Well said and I wish all of you a wonderful 2019. It has been good today to try and catch up with all your lovely posts.
I've finally been given a date for my hip replacement, and hopefully that will be instead of a bike for the time being.
I'm sorry not to have kept up ..I've had another month in hospital, trying to stabilise heart rate, bp and swollen legs..better now and had the pre-op on Thursday.
BW to Wendy, Pete, Chrissy, Alison, Joan and others too many to mention.
I will drink to that (but in a sensible manner). The last month has not been ideal with three short stays (sometimes a day) in hospital. Although first one was planned I feel I was discharged to soon and again the second time a week later. Not directly heart related but a story for another time. Have a good time one and all!
Hi Pete, Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'm off to my Brother's for Christmas Day. I will be partaking in the odd Gin and Tonic, its been a long time without alcohol. Still waiting for my second Ablation. Blessings, Andy 💖
We will I know I am going too ..... if you think you will you will ....... if you think you won’t you won’t ......it’s down to us all as individuals to make it happen ❤️
