I too have changed from Ramipril to Candesartan. I also take Felodipine.
Cough has abated and I do not have much in the way of side effects. A runny nose and annoyingly, a sort of fluttering feeling in the chest. No pain and I am still fit enough to walk five or six miles without losing breath but when I sit this sensation starts a bit like someone drumming their fingers on my ribs gently. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. At first I thought it was muscular or a trapped nerve but it has persisted for a week or so.

Hello pillsrus, I've been taking candesartan for over a year now, swapped for the ramipril which like with you, drove me and my partner crazy with the cough and runny nose. It took a couple of weeks to get used to the candesartan (I'm on 32mg per day) but I don't think I've had any side effects with it. So maybe you should give your doc or specialist nurse a call to see if they have any ideas. Good luck!
Will do, although I have limited faith in the Doc's. They are under the cosh and have little time for things which may be difficult to sort out. Do you take Felodipine as well? Just checked and I am on 16mg Candasartan.
No I'm on bisoprolol and eplerenone too. For HF. I found the specialist nurses really helpful but my GP I don't think would have such in depth knowledge.. I don't know what your diagnosis is but I had some weird sensations before I was diagnosed and I started on all these drugs!
