went for my annual review at cardiology on wednesday. Good news! an increase in my heart functionality from 40% to 45%. Really pleased as was originally told that it wouldn't get any better but due to 10mg bisoprolol it wouldn't get any worse so to have an improvement and now able to start exercising makes me really happy!!

Must be good news week. I too went for follow up echo this week. Previous echo showed 48% (MRI showed 42% - believe there is usually some difference between the two). Now up to 10mg Bisoprolol, 6 mg Perindropril and after about 6 mths since original GP visit with severe ectopic beats I was told the following:

LVEF 51%, Heart size reduced (only minor dilation), no breathlessness Bp is fine, pulse very steady and 50 - 60, walking 4.2 miles every single day with no major consequences. Still not running nor gym work but thats fine by me I can now walk and at a good speed.

Went for latest scan expecting nothing other than worse - deteriation, at best - stability. Couldn't have wished for improvement but now very elated at this news.

Brilliant, just shows that there's life after a heart attack.
