Hi. You need to seek medical advice. It’s okay to ‘bother’ your doctor. It’s not possible to determine what it is without seeing someone. Better safe than sorry Take care and keep us posted. Best wishes. Zena

Go and bother you GP - it’s what they are there for. You could try 111 also

Hi Tiredman

You need to see a doctor, as they need to investigate what is causing your pain and treat you appropriately so please don't feel like you are bothering them. You never said if you have angina or any other heart disease, but your options are: contact your GP if you are pain-free currently; if you are having the pain now or it comes back the quickest way to get it investigated is by going to A&E. If the pain becomes severe please call 999 for an ambulance.

Best of luck,

Ashleigh

Was just glad to be home at the time and I take aspirin for the pain that helps i stop taking the other meds because i started to feel healthy been off them 8 months now.can I start them back up any time. Thanks for help.

Hi Tiredman

You really need to see your doctor-if you have stopped taking medication, it is best for them to be aware so they can discuss with you why you are on them. You may have started to feel healthy again because the medications were helping you, but if you are getting chest pains it is a sign you definitely need to go back to your doctor and discuss restarting your tablets again.

If you would like speak to a cardiac nurse, we can give you more information on heart disease and medications, please call us on 0300 330 3311. But please contact your GP to discuss re-starting your tablets.

Best of luck,

Ashleigh

Quite surprised you have been off meds for eight months as you will not have not been getting repeat prescriptions. Any decent IT system would have flagged this but unfortunately many GP practices have iffy ones.

Don't be surprised if you get a telling off thrown in for nothing with your checkup! :)

Glad you saw the doc. Good that she is sorting rehab for you. It’s obviously a difficult time for you especially with your dad’s passing. Hope things continue to improve. Take care. Zena
