Last night at around 3am, I was woken by extreme pain. I was laying on my right side, when suddenly it felt like someone was sitting on my left side. Intense pain in chest, neck, left shoulder and arm.
The worst of the pain went away after about 15 minutes, but I still feel uncomfortable and out of breath 3 1/2 hours later.
I think this was possibly the first of more.
No-one at home knows about this yet.
Yes, I will tell them and see a doctor for tests!

Just laying here waiting for them to de-catheterise me.
It appears that my hiatus hernia may be to blame. It can cause inflammation of the sternum/rib cartilage, and is very often mistaken for heart conditions.
That can be EXTREMELY painful. I have a friend with costocondritis at the moment and very similar, very painful & initially was a suspected HA. I hope the get you comfy asap. Get well soon.
Yes, it certainly is. Now to find a good gastro surgeon. They try not to do anything with hernias unless they are stopping blood supply to the stomach or this happens.
She’s been given morphine and on COMPLETE bed rest. BP very low so community nurses checking it every other day, an infection in her liver is also suspected so nurses doing bloods too. BED REST does seem to be the only thing she can do to help it get better. How are you doing?
She’s in Wales. Morphine has really helped but does make he think maybe she can get up then pays for it later BUT she’s a single mum so bedrest is sooo difficult. She recommends doing as little movement as you possibly can to allow internal swelling to heal & subside. Hope you get to see specialist soon.
