Unsure if should use GTN spray

Hi, I'm new here. I had a heart attack in march 2017 and had two stents put in. It was the start of pre menopause for me and I was 44 at the time. I've been generally ok since then, but have struggled with regular exercise and have put on weight. Proper menopause kicked in at the beginning of this year, around the time I started doing yoga for about 10 mins every morning I have a 10 min walk to work and back every day and my husband and I have been going for walks every weekend for the last few weeks. I have been suffering with sporadic mild feelings of tiredness, discomfort in chest, light headedness and discomfort or pain in my left arm for the last few months. I used my GTN spray about a month and a half ago because of a bad spout of one of these times and it helped. Today I keep feeling discomfort and tightness in my chest, my left arm feels uncomfortable and I keep getting light headed. That sounds bad but it comes and goes to varying degrees of discomfort but nothing that makes me think something is very wrong. Not sure if I should use the spray or just see how I go. Has anyone else had anything similar? Thanks

I've have microvascular dysfunction and get angina whenever I exercise. I use my GTN spray before I go for a walk or do any physical exercise like gardening, during and after if I need it. My cardiologist recommended doing it. It massively helps me.

GTN lowers blood pressure by opening up arteries so that the blood can more easily flow. That's how it relieves your angina. It does sound like that's what it is. If you get it regularly, you need to see a doctor, preferably a cardiologist who can do tests like ECG, echocardiogram etc.

Best not ignore the problem.

Thanks to everyone who has replied. I'm going to doctor's in a week to get my annual blood tests done so will mention it to them then.

Best thing you can do in my opinion that is. Good Luck!
