I have spent my morning researching the web and I cant seem to get anything from real people just stats lol.
Since starting my very small dose of bisoprolol 1.25MG, I have noticed a month in I have been getting these Petechiae/ Blood spots which are small and red and look like a small bleed. They are normally on my legs only which makes me wonder if its just a coincidence it started after the meds.
Just wanted to ask if anyone had experienced these whilst on bisoprolol, I am aware blood thinning meds can cause them but I cant find anything on the link between them and bisoprolol only.

Hi. I too have these on my abdomen. My father also had them and he and myself both have heart problems. I wonder if they are related to heart problems rather than a medication? I don’t know though. I have just started on bisoprolol 2 weeks ago. I shall keep a look out if I get more!
They are very strange and quiet alarming to look at aren't they. I also only started my meds a month ago, hopefully you don't get anymore but Some people I have spoke to say they just randomly get them with no medical cause x
I had been getting these for about 2 months before my HA, mostly on my arms. Of course when I mentioned them to the GP last week he said they were from my medication- assumptions again as that was impossible when they were there long before the meds. My husband gets them too. They are either an age thing or from your meds. If age related, nothing to worry about except they will keep appearing.
My husband started getting them about 6 months ago. NO change of tablets for him although he is diabetic. They seem to be very common with age but of course that depends how old you are. I'm 70, husband is 73.
I have had these for years prior to taking Sotalol and Apixaban. However, since taking these the spots are definitely more wide-spread and deeper in colour. Plus, when I have done gardening, housework, etc. they seem to increase.
Thought it might be the NOAC. Just had a rash not blood spots from 2.5 bisoprolol. Other Health Professional thought it might be change in liver function with the meds. Father used to have the spots with aspirin and they disappeared when he stopped aspirin. Certainly getting more now after 3 years on NOAC
