Hi all
So yesterday I came for my third op in 12 months to get my CRT fully working ( the pesky LV lead keeps coming out)
This time I had TWO eminent surgeons performing the op ... their names were a little disconcerting ( Dr Betts & Dr Gamble) you couldn't make it up.
The supposed 2 hour op went on for SIX hours!!!! My veins are you ry kinked which made it difficult to get in. They then decided to put the device under my.muscle to ensure they keep it in place.. very painful!! So morphine was the order of the day... however they DID get it in hooray !! It will be a painful road to recovery... but will be worth it if the pesky thing stays in.
And then I will reboot my cruise 😁
For those of you who know, I name my device... I have decided I Will now call this one Kurt #2. I just hope he loves me as much as i love him
On another note BHF contacted me recently as they are doing an article in the BHF magazine on how we hearties can have a social life after a heart condition is diagnosed. They are including myself as i have organised my meet up group and have now over 150 members enjoying theatre dining out and cinema... oh and I have just booked our first Xmas party too. 😁 so I need to now recover to go to all the fun things I have planned x
