Insurancewith - we have used them several times. It's best to ring them rather than doing it online.

Try a comparison site like “Compare the Market” - they will ask all the relevant medical questions and give you the best prices for the companies willing to offer cover.

Have u tried Staysure?

Couldn’t get cover for the US without breaking the bank from anyone other than a company called towergate. A couple of the pre-existing medical insurers said they wouldn’t even cover me and my 10 yo, as we have 9 medical conditions between us and littleun had been pretty unwell. You phone towergate, they give you a basic premium price, then you phone their medical underwriters, and they tell you what the medical premium would be. For our 2 weeks in Florida at Easter, we got £5m in medical cover for conditions including SVT, prior brain surgery, cystic fibrosis (quite severe, lung function quite often down in the 60% range and a number of unplanned hospital admissions in the 12 months before) for £200. The next best quote I’d had was £600.

Hope that helps.

I have angina & Cardiomyopathy & more... joined a Women's Institute group & joined their group travel insurance with Open Travel £195 for 1 year worldwide multitrip. No medical questions asked. If you are a man with a female spouse/partner living at same address she can join & insure you. Clare

If you have stable angina with no ongoing investigations (such as planned angiogram) you should be fine otherwise if awaiting further diagnosis it may be impossible to get insurance.

I also suggest StaySure.
