Went for an exercise test yesterday as have been having a few chest pains . They put me through my paces and my blood pressure rose to 250/80 On exersion is this really bad . I have a previous cardiac history . Just so I know thanks .

Hi there, the question is dependant on what your normal blood pressure is, it's perfectly possible under exercise for it to rise over 200 and be considered normal.
However yours was subject to a test, the results of which will be given to you, usually after a week or so. Given your history one of the things they are looking at is how quickly it returns to normal.

By coincidence I had an exercise stress test yesterday and my gp went up before they had even started but I always get “ white coat syndrome” so it didn’t worry me. During the test it went up massively but settled down quickly once the test was finished. Try not to worry and wait for your results.
