Exercise stress test.
Hello
I hope they have some answers for you to
Good Luck
Let us know how you get on x
Hi, I've just got back but obviously they can't tell me anything yet it's upto the doctor once he's gone over the results. I managed the treadmill ok and got my HR upto 180 on a fast walk with an incline with only a few ectopics during it.
Thanks
Taz.
Hello
Sounds like you did well then
I hope you get the results soon and will let us know x
Aww hope your test goes well ❤️ x
Hi, yes it went well I didn't have an episodes apart from some ectopic beats but otherwise it was ok. Just have to wait and see what the doctor comes back with now.
Thanks
Taz.
It's a pity in a way that you didn't have an episode so they could see it happening. When I last had one, it showed nothing at all until afterwards. They just happened to leave me attached to the machine when I sat down to rest and suddenly got rhythm problems so they could see what was happening and where. It can be really difficult to catch something when it's intermittent.
Hi, that's what I wanted to happen so they could see it but apart from having some ectopics and my heart rate shooting upto 180 with some spikes after 15 mins I think it went ok which I'm annoyed about. Do you think 180 bpm is high whilst walking very fast on an incline or within range.? I'm 52 so going on the formula of 220 - 52 = 168 x 0.85(85% of max hr) it should of been 142? So maybe it is high 🤔. Hopefully it won't be too long before I get some information from the doctors. Thanks
Taz.
It took me a year of various tests to diagnose my arrhythmia and even then after the stress test, they only caught it by accident. It is infuriating. I'm no expert on heart rates as mine's always 80 to 90 at rest but i would think 180's a bit too high for that situation but I really don't know.
I have been in the hospital 12 days for my heart condition and ecg didnt show anything, mri cardiac also didnt show anything wrong in my heart, but i am still complaining same problem.Few months later I was addmitted to hospital again for pnomonia staying another 6 days with heavy antibiotic.Than my cardiologist refered me to eco stress test. They found some abnormalities while i was on the bike.1 month later they did Angiogram and they put stent on my main arteries.I am much better now i can walk much better and do all my works without hustle.
Did you have to be referred for an Exercise Stress Test and if so, how long did you wait? I think that I need one.
Hi, yes I was referred by my cardiologist after my last appointment in January so I was waiting about 10wks which I thought was quick considering the waiting times at the moment. Are you under a cardiologist having test done?Regards
Taz.
Hi, I am seeing my Cardiologist on 24 May for follow-up from an unsuccessful Ablation to treat AF. I have been telling them for months that my symptoms are made worse from even gentle exercise. This week I have had Tachycardia from Sunday afternoon until the early hours of this morning, just from walking up a small incline while out shopping. I'm back into normal sinus rhythm for now, but it I am scared of going to the gym. I'm going to ask him about having a stress test.
