Hi, I had a stent fitted 3 months ago and it took a while to get my angina stabilised afterwards. this past few days I have been having pain while resting in my upper left side chest. It's difficult to describe, sort of between my chest and shoulder. Do you think I should have it checked out?? I would be grateful for any advice you may have.

Chest pain
Definitely! If you are having chest pain go to A&E.
Hi poppy111
Have you got GTN spray? If so, has it helped? If it helps, it's one way to know whether the pain you have is from your heart muscle.
As jimmyq says, chest pain should be taken very seriously (especially for you as you have a history of heart disease). Great to hear you are going to have yourself checked over, and let us know how you get on.
Best of luck!

Hi Jimmy, I went to RVH yesterday where they checked me over, they were quite sure that the discomfort I was feeling was due to a recent Chest Infection...'coughing etc'. Thank you so much for the advice..by the way, I was told off for getting a lift to hospital... I should have rang 999. I think I'm still in denial about the urgency of Heart Disease??
Best regards
i had pains vertically down through my shoulders, thought it was a chest infection having previously had pneumonia and similar pain. Went to GP for antibiotic but it was Angina. Always keep GTN handy and use it if you get pain. Always report pain. There are no second chances.
