Hi everyone, I have a pain in the middle part of my chest that's where that indent is. I was thinking it was because I worked out my chest the other day and I'm not used to strenuous exercise, but my brother mentioned it could be a hitial hernia where part of my stomach enters my esophagus.
I need some advice here.

Hi, probably safest to go to your GP and get some medical advice.
Hi on top of my usual workout I was doing 750 press ups a day for a month for a bet.Thought I had pulled a muscle in my chest.Long story short, turned out I had a quintiple bypass. So please get checked out.
Ring 111 immediately. I had that in March thinking the same as you and ignored it. Woke up in the middle of the night as it had got worse. Rang 111 and a long story short, within four hours I'd had a stent fitted and was on a ward having suffered a heart attack. Good luck.
I also Had pain in the middle of my chest , more to the right. If it is more to the right get it checked as mine turned out to be a tricuspid regurgation of one of my valves and itwas not good news!!
Hi treyjeff. I had the same thing happen to me. The pain was in the same place as when I had my HA. It happened after lifting weights as well. Had the cardiologist look at it. All was well. With mine, I can actually push on the area of the pain (sternum) and it hurts to touch. The doctor said that if it was heart related you would not be able to feel the pain increase when you pushed down on the area. They took a few tests to be sure and everything was fine. That area remains tender, eight months later. I lowered my bench press weight and stopped sit ups. This seems to have helped.
Hey everyone, pain stopped. I guess I pulled my muscle lifting weights. For the record I'm a 20 year old with normal weight and no family history of health problems and a lot of health anxiety so it's no wonder I worried about this. Thanks again
