About a year after my first angina attack I had my "Fitness for Surgery" last week. As mentioned elsewhere I failed the Lung Function test as I am suffering the after effects of a cold cough that dragged on for weeks. I was also told I am slightly anaemic but sadly despite claims to the contrary Guinness contains very little - I was hoping to get in on prescription! :)

I finally got to the dentist and had two fillings. However three need extracting (they are nearly as old as me) and I have been referred for this. Nothing to do with the heart but because of crossed roots! Hope it is not a long wait.

Met and reviewed all the results with my surgeon today. Seems whilst my lung function was not 100% it was not off scale enough to prevent surgery. Could be looking at six weeks. Off to the dentist again in two days. Feel like I have a second career as a p/t patient! :)
