I've been on a little walk today on my own!! (Well mostly)
As it's a lovely day I walked to my house and back to Mum's. I told Mum I was going to do it, she made me promise to met a friend on the way back a walk with him back. So to save an argument I did.
About 20 minutes walking, yes I got out of breath and I'm really tired now but I did it. My heart rate is a little high but nothing to worry about considering.

itβs good to be able to get out and about in the sunshine. When my husband had his CABG he had to walk quite a lot. He was told to pace himself and remember that it however far you walk you needed to remember that you have to walk back so not to do too much at first. Good luck. X
Iβm really happy for you. A 20 minute walk is no small feat. You may feel tired, but itβs one of those βgoodβ types of tired. It has taken me a year to work up to a 20 minute walk. π
well done you, Iβm 15 months after my pacemaker/ablation and I still get breathless sometimes depending on how far I walk. Slow but sure is good. π
Great news, walking to build up strength is very underrated. I struggled to walk 100 metres after my bypass. Just come back from a 4.5 mile with the dogs. My heart was fine but my knees are complaining !! π
had my bypass triple at age 31 now 77, always remember those first walks leaving the house. You think if something goes wrong what can I do. Just got to hope the surgeon did a good job.Mine did today played a competitive game of walking football for an hour or so.Play twice a week and never thought Iβd reach this age and do things I had to give up before surgery. So there is hope.Colin
