Hi guys. Got appointment with the cardiologist today. See where we're are going with this possible AVR. I just can’t get my head straight. One minute positive the next all over the place. Beginning to think this is the worst bit. At least I might get some answers. GP still not wanting to see anyone. Said book an appointment for 2 weeks !! Helps to read all your posts. Stay safe and well.

Hello :-)

I hope your appointment goes well :-)

I can relate to the positive feelings then negative one's

Waiting for a Bypass and one minute I think O hurry up and the next I am full of I am not sure , I think maybe this is quite normal to feel this way , even those with experience will be able to give you better advise on how you are feeling :-)

As for our own GP 's I have this conversation with friends when are they going to start opening and letting us back in , dentist have and so many other places even though things have changed how the appointments are which is understandable but the Doctors they seem to go in hiding and not come back out where I live :-)

Good luck again today and please let us know how it goes :-) x

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I have paid privately for this appointment just to get some idea of my choices and other things like that. All I have had so far is a letter following an echocardiogram telling me it’s narrowed!! Good to see that yours is moving on. Lots on here say the anticipation is worse than the actual thing. Take care.

Hello :-)

I don't blame you one bit for paying private it will be worth it to get the answers you need and I hope it will be better than what you may be anticipating :-)

I know what is wrong now it is what feels like forever waiting to see when they will do the op , I have heard it can be up to 3 months waiting and to be honest I am already struggling so how I will cope if it is I don't know

Anyway less about me and wishing you all the Best today and look forward to maybe better news later how it all goes :-) x

Best of luck for today ! Let’s hope you get some answers and clarity x

Really good luck for today and make sure you post everyone when you feel like it. So much better to know where you are and try to get things sorted out. A pity about having to go privately, I've done that myself although I used to think it was against my principles but sometimes it's the only way, and you need to get answers to you know what choices you have and be be make informed decisions.

Thank you so very much. The support on here means so much. Can feel very lonely at times.

Agree completely about feeling lonely at times, have good friends and neighbours but they don't have the same health issues so I don't feel (or even want to) I can go on about them - my automatic response to "how are you" is "fine" which I'm sure is a good things but at least on this website we can tell it how it is when we need to and I find the support is really like belonging to a community. Also I am so impressed by the courage and resilience of other posters and that is a real boost.

Hi. Firstly hope all goes well with your appointment. I was very much like you at the start of my journey. I'm having my AVR on Thursday and can't wait till it's done. The people on here are so helpful and reading some of their stories is very inspirational.

Afternoon JMFFC

it’s great news to read your post that you are about to have your AVR, soon you will be on the road to recovery, and your life is back on track where it should be.

Best wishes Pauline
