Yes guys, all dressed up ready to go down to theatre this morning and I was cancelled. Told me they were hoping to do it this afternoon so still no food or drink and then just told me not going ahead. Keeping me in but not sure when they're going to operate, so could be here for several days before I even get my op. Really pissed off at the moment.

That's terrible. I feel so sorry for you. Please try to keep positive I know, easier said than done. Hope you get something to eat and drink very soon. Thinking of you and hopefully you will get the care you deserve. X
Bless you Wendy. Everyone has their fingers crossed for you. I hope they are looking after you well while you wait. Keep your chin up and keep us posted. Love Margaret xx
Well attempt FIVE will now take place next Tuesday. They did give me the choice of staying in or going home - as if I'd want to stay in and watch everyone else going down for their operations!!!!! Even then no guarantees for next attempt!
Thanks Dory, was going to go in to work today but after three nights of little sleep and all the stress I woke up with a blinding migraine, another days pay lost!
If they don't do my op on Tuesday I will definitely be putting in a complaint.
Can't fault the nursing staff though, they've been brilliant and very supportive. Just don't understand why you don't go to the top of the list if your op has been cancelled at the last minute. Not surprised my blood pressure was up!
Poor you, I’m not surprised you have a migraine, what with the numerous cancellations and loss of working days and more importantly, pay.
I so hope and pray that your op goes ahead on Tuesday. I don’t blaim you for wanting to put in a complaint, I really hope it doesn’t come to that, it would add to the stress.
Dare I ask which hospital it is?
Try and relax over the weekend and keep your spirits up.
My cats are all shorthair moggies 😸. They are all rescues, apart from Salem who moved in with us when our first cat died, he lived a few doors away but didn't like it! Our friend runs a cat rescue charity and is an excellent con artist when it comes to getting us to take on another cat! Not that she has to try very hard 😺.
Had a good sleep last night and migraine has gone completely.
Bet you'll be glad to get your op over with and get out with Boris more. What breed is he?
How lovely to have lots of moggies to cuddle, having cats rather than dogs has its compensations, you don’t have to go for walks in the pouring rain, like this morning.
Good to know that you take in rescues and give them a good home, they have certainly landed on their feet.
Boris is a two year old Hungarian wirehaired Vizsla, we kept Golden Retrievers for 40 years before we got him, he’s supposed to be a down-size, ha ha! I can’t find a way of adding a picture to my reply so I’ll put a new post up with a photo of Boris to cheer you up.
I’m so glad that you had a good night’s sleep and that you have kicke the migraine into touch.
You should be A1 for Tuesday, I have everything crossed for your op to go ahead.
Hopefully mine will go ahead as planned fro a week today, the lurgy should be well and truly out of my system by then.
That is really bad news and seems very unlucky. The stress awaiting the operation is bad enough without the extra anxiety of wondering if it will go ahead. Lets hope that it is really soon.
