Loop of pacemaker lead visible under skin

I had my pacemaker fitted 8 weeks ago and have recovered well apart from low blood pressure making me feel very tired. But when I woke up this morning I had a very visible bump in the skin under my collarbone, and when I touched it, a loop of wire was gathered there? It hasn't happened before and isn't visible when standing or sitting but is very obvious when lying down.

Anyone else had this, or have any advice on what I should do about it?

Thanks

Morning,

I would suggest a trip to your GP, I have similar lumps but due to bypass, I have been referred for some plastic surgery

Hi there - firstly, if you're on medications to lower your blood pressure and it's a little too low and making you tired then it's a good idea to have it reviewed by your GP. Having lower blood pressure is of great benefit for many medical reasons, but for your quality of life if you're feeling exhausted then that's no good.

It's not unusual for you to be able to see or feel the loop in your pacemaker lead, but have a chat with your pacing clinic and see if they want to check things over for you face to face.

I hope this helps.

Take care,

Chris
