Hi Andy - welcome :)

Sounds like you've got the right idea until you start your cardiac rehab. Not easy to do anything in this weather really... best to just take it easy!

I was phoned by rehab and had my session cancelled because of the heat. Told not to do anything when it's really hot and try take an early stroll in morning when it's cooler.

Just do what your doing and don't over do things . I've had 3 heart attacks just give yourself time to recover

Hi Andy. It sounds as if you're doing all the right things. I wasn't able to go to cardio rehab for 6 weeks after my heart attack (20 months ago)

but found it invaluable once I could start.

Keep up the walking as much as you can, it really helped me to have it to focus on and I really hope it helps you as well. Sending you my best wishes.

I had cardiac rehab after my Heart attack 7 years ago following Angioplasty and two stents. It was really good and helped me to recover and return to work as a baker 12 weeks later. It consisted of controlled excercises supervised by specialist nurses and gym trainer. There were also talks on health, drug regimes, lifestyle and long term choices. I thoroughly recommend if you are offered it please take up the offer it really helps your recovery

I had my first session of rehab yesterday and it was good. all controlled and monitored. Has given me the confidence to move forward more now.
