Hello everyone,

My name is Michal and I have been diagnosed with Psoriasis about 6-7 years ago. It was really hard time for me as my body was damaged, at least that way I took it, and I was very insecure person including finding partner or have intimate relationship. It was very bad from beginning but somehow got a bit better in time. I still have Psoriasis but less than before and can show my body at least. I learned how to live with it but I still am insecure in some way. I am not visiting hairdresser that often as I would wish because it is on my scalp and once I am there I am very horrified what they think about me. That is one of the examples. But I have very supportive partner who is reminding me how beautiful still am I even tho it is hard for me to believe 😂. I found hairdresser who gave me words of comfort and that made me feel much better about myself. Even tho I still have insecurity about my psoriasis and how I look and what I am wearing.

Well, I thought I will write something about myself here. I am 32 years old and nice to meet you everyone.

I am really happy to be able to find community I can speak about it and maybe talk to someone and get some advise or help or words of comfort as well.

Hi, glad to hear your coping well and have you tried T-gel shampoo for scalp? If not I would highly recommend it.

Hi Michal 👋

Psoriasis sufferer here too. I am currently clear and am on biologic injections (Imraldi) but had horrendous times in the past. It is very hard and affects people psychologically.

It is great that you have a supportive partner, makes a big difference. I wore long sleeves to hide patches on my skin (elbows were particularly bad) and long trousers as my legs were covered. I had patches on my back which were very sore. It was uncomfortable, itchy and upsetting.

I really hope you are getting help from a Dermatology clinic at the hospital as there are lots of treatments available and you can move on to another if one stops being effective after time (for me I changed treatments every 2 or 3 years)

I use Dermol lotion for washing and avoid soap at all costs...soap free and scent free is best as I'm sure you know.

I have had various treatments over the past 30 years years. I started with light therapy and it really helped. I have had very good treatment in Scotland.

Yes I agree, T gel shampoo is very good for scalp psoriasis. Sorry that was so long...got carried away! Nice to meet you. All the best.

I wanted to try light therapy but they always give me creams. It is okay the one I have but it is just twice a day cream and there are days I just want a break from it.

Thank you very much for your message :).
