Itchy flaky scalp
I don't know if it's a 'naturel' remedy in itself but I use Joico Daily Treatment shampoo, you leave it on for five minutes before rinsing off. It helps to relieve the itchiness and to slow the soreness in your head. I first purchased it from my hairdressers but now but it online from Amazon as I can get it in larger quantities.
I will use apple cider vinegar as a rinse when my psoriasis gets thick on my head. At night, I will massage coconut oil into my scalp. My psoriasis on my head effects me during certain times of the year.
i have to keep my head clipper cut on a very short length to control the itch and also use a product called sebitar, it is a bit smelly but really controls the itch ! hope this helps .
Like you I suffer from Scalp Psoriasis, it drives me to distraction. Six weeks ago, I undertook intensive research, using this site along with the internet and created a list of shampoos/lotions and best practises. It was then trial and error. After some non starters, I discovered two - Jason Tear Tree shampoo and Eucerin. Both these seemed to have a beneficial effect and I am now mostly clear. I still work at it , washing hair every three days, but at least I now have some respite. It's different for us all, so all I can pass on is what works for me. Good luck.
Soak and float shampoo bar from Lush helped me. It does smell but once your hair is dry you don't notice it. Condition after use.
I've been using shampoo from a small UK company Humankind Organics. At first wasn't sure if it was working but after using for a few weeks my scalp is hardly ever itchy and only a few stubborn flaky patches left. I really miss polytar though even though it wasn't natural and stripped my colour it kept my scalp in check for years.
