Scalp psoriasis

Hi all. I have mild scalp psoriasis which I've been managing with non perfumed natural shampoo and Aloe Vera gel. Does anyone have any over the counter solutions that work at treating the problem?

I rub organic coconut oil into my scalp & put a disposable plastic shower cap on with a cotton beanie hat on top and sleep with it on over night. I heat it for 20 seconds in microwave first to melt it into liquid. Do you put the aloe Vera gel on after you wash your ? Does it make your hair greasy? I only use Baby shampoo now. All psoriasis shampoos on prescription or over the counter make my scalp worse as well as hair & scalp conditioners aimed at psoriasis. Anyone else out there have any more suggestions for natural remedies please let us know. Thanks.

Aloe massages in quite easily and without causing a greasy result, though I have little hair on top! I have used it with or without washing and usual morning and evening.

I only use Liz Earle’s shampoo and conditioner and my scalp doesn’t irritate at all.

Yes do try it, they do one shampoo to cover all hair types and 3 different conditioners, I use the dry hair type conditioner.

I always used T-gel shampoo (tar) not the acid one.

Oh thats a shame but T-gel shampoo certainly isn’t a cure just a relief valve.

Tgel was my go to when I had an outbreak but since I started Dmards fir my Psoriatic arthritis, I haven't had any.

I'm on Methotrexate and have been for months but it hasn't cleared it up.

Methotrexate might not be enough or not the right medication for you. Im on Cosentyx and Otezla together they work great alone they suck.
