I am new to this forum and was diagnosed as a diabetic type 2 two years ago. The information given at the beginning was overwhelming and I worked for the NHS! Everything it seems is down to weight, exercise and the messages differ and are confusing. An example of this is I bought a book about what I could eat as a diabetic recently and if not depressed before was nearly suicidal by the end of it. Luckily a friend made me see the funnier side of it.
I know I am overweight and have lost 10kgs but I do fluctuate but where as before I was diagnosed could have shrugged it off now get concerned about the impact on health.
Ploughing on and will continue to lose weight albeit at my own pace
