Hi I'm Mad and I'm trying to mantain my weight after losing 30 pounds.

Hi, I'm an 39 yo office worker that lost 30 pounds from July 2015 to May 2016, getting me to my goal/healthy weight for the first time in my adult life.

Since then I quit my e-cig (had quit smoking 3 years ago) and had to put my kitty to sleep, which made me lose my way a bit. I restarted to eat some of my devil foods, like chocolate and cookies and I regained 3.5 pounds. I know, not the end of the world.

I also lost my mojo, am struggling with exercise and am scared to death of turning back into the couch potato that I was until last year.

My goals for now is to exercise (run or walk long distances) 3 times a week and keep my food intake in check. To not loose my focus and motivation. And to loose these devil 3.5 pounds.

Hi Madzoya many thanks for sharing your story and achievements! That's really great, you achieved amazing results... Do you mind sharing what was your diet/daily life like exercising during that period that you lost 30 pounds?

Thanks!

I counted calories and started running, basically.

I made up fixed menus that stayed within my calorie count, with a defici of about 300-500 calories a day. These menus always included foods I liked so I wouldn't feel deprived.

I also made one completely free meal, usually saturday night, when I enjoyed eating whatever I felt like it (which became gradually less in quantity, as the time progressed).

Another major change, I cut alchool (wine) to just that meal and drank only water the rest of the week.

And this girl who couldn't run, started a C25K plan. This kept me motivated to exercise, as I had a plan and a goal. I can now run (with effort still) a 5k indoors or outdoors, and I even participated in an official race.

My downfall was really quitting vaping. I smoked for 20 years and changed it for vaping 3 years ago. That was actually easier to do than anticipated. Leaving the e-cig has been harder. And I crave sugary things all the time. Also my quiting time coincided with my elderly cat getting really sick and this last two months were spent in and out of the vet. She was put to sleep last week.

I need to get a grip and let go of bad habits.
