It's so hot it's hard to find the energy to do too much, so I'm relaxing and just trying to keep cool.

It's really is difficult if you don't like it, it's finding things to do that are not to arduous.

We caught the bus to the coast,so we kept cool.It was quite chilly in the shade!Just being by the sea I find calming and I switch off.

today is 11year anniversary of losing my husband. It was a hot day like today. My daughter and grandson came round today and we blitz my bedroom and airing cupboard. Got rid of old paperwork, clothes that are not worn, odd socks, bin bag full of rubbish, bag of shredding and two bags of clothes n bits for charity. A lot of energy used but it really helped us and got through the day in fairly good spirits. Had lovely Subway rolls and salads for lunch and slept very well. I have spent sadder days but it felt good today being productive. Hope all coping with the heatwave. Take care 🦊x

I love having a good old sort out & it helps if you have someone with you. We did one of our walks today. I help run a walking & lunch group mainly for the older folk but we do get some younger ones. Anyway one of the ladies told that her daughter came over & they’d filled up 10 bags of unused clothes. Must admit I felt a little sad that I no longer have a daughter to do that with me.

Yesterday morning I went to the assessment centre at the new legal and general building in the city centre where they did 1 to 1 interviews and a group exercise and thankfully it was all finished by 12 so we went down to Penarth in the afternoon for a picnic on the pier and a walk round!

This morning it's a video interview this morning with British Gas at 9am which is great as with 9am once it's done it's done and I don't have to sit around waiting to be interviewed say for 4pm!

My sister in law said she is proud of me for doing that assessment centre and going away from it feeling I had given it my very best!

It was nice getting my video interview with British Gas out of the way early so I went to swimming nice and early and enjoyed it and brought up last nights pasta dinner to have for lunch rather than paying out for sandwiches and catch up with my friends as well!

I'm swimming tomorrow as well after I changed the day so it was a trip to Penarth yesterday afternoon that was supposed to be tomorrow and swimming was supposed to be yesterday so I changed them round so I don't have to go into the city tomorrow if I don't want to!

Thursday it's interviews in Newport which will be a day out and a trip to the greengrocers!

Friday it's signing on at the jobcentre nice and early at 9.50am!

It feels absolutely great getting my confidence back with going out as when I leave the flat tomorrow it will be full of confidence like I was before rather than leaving terrified like I did for many months after I got evicted.

I decided to treat myself to a leisurely pub lunch today in Newport before I go to my next interview at 3pm.

I did this mornings interview and went away feeling I had done my very best which is all you can do really and came back into town to do some more job applications which are all out of the way now nice and early and I have been to the greengrocers and stocked up on veg!

Looking back now time has passed by I do feel that by accident when that place just outside Newport treated me badly for no good reason they did me a good turn as I feel when they did that by accident they stopped me from having made a big mistake but I'm not saying it's right to be unkind though as when that happened it felt like the world had ended when they were horrible like that!

It's not nice getting treated badly when you have done nothing wrong!

Good news I have some more interviews for tomorrow and next week so onwards and upwards!

I did my afternoon interview as planned and went away feeling I had given it my best and decided to walk back up into town which was a hot walk and then got the bus back home and I called in at the Morrisons by the interview site and got a large bottle of fizzy water to put me on as its no fun being dehydrated!

I'm home now and had a cold shower to cool down and got my feet up with a nice cup of tea!

One friend of mine said how over the year I have come to terms with lots of things that were eating away at me!

i took one of our ladies out for lunch yesterday. It had been her birthday & I missed her luncheon party due to being away. We had a nice lunch & she told me it was the 10th anniversary of her husbands death. So she was pleased that she was out.

Today was the walk & picnic lunch & boy was it hot. 🥵. We toured a farm where the farmer is growing wild flowers & herbs etc… they also brew beer. So the ladies got to have a couple of glasses. We got a friend/caterer to put on a spread for us. Which was amazing. I was the chauffeur Walker & general dogs body. Really hard work but all the ladies went home so that was lovely. Many of them are widows. I’m now suffering badly with hay fever 🤧. Never ever had it this bad. So off to bed soon.
