that will make you feel 'good' about yourself.

I will be trying to repair the damage to my fingernails from unpacking, might even paint them !

We are off out for a pub lunch replaced from the cancelled one in December tomorrow and also for a walk in the park as well.

Lately we have been rooting through the cancelled events from last year and rebooking the ones that can easily be replaced in due course say like pub lunches and days out and having to come to terms with those that sadly can't be replaced.

Monday this week it was my fathers burial and it was a harrowing day for me but thankfully I had my friends with me for support and in the afternoon was told I hadn't got a job I had interviewed for last Friday and wasn't upset about it as I feel that those things aren't the be all and end all of life!

Wednesday I had a video interview for a position at Newport city council in the social services there which I didn't get but it wasn't the end of the world though.

I was due to have an interview today and one on Monday but I cancelled them as I feel I don't need the stress but accepted one at the mass vaccination centre near where I live for a job on the phones there for 11.40 on Tuesday as I felt I have nothing to lose by trying!

It’s lovely that you are rebooking where possible and yes sad that there were occasions that can’t be.

Really sorry you had such an awful day on Tuesday {{{hugs}}} x

Glad you’re able to be selective in your job search and best wishes on Tuesday,, this has a good feel about it x

Well thankfully Monday was one of those events in life that won't happen again as you only bury your father once.

Even though I was angry at his attitude towards me in no way did I wish for an event like that to have happened!

Turns out it wasn't a travelling blood clot that killed him it was caused by untreated copd and sleep apnea which had led to pulmonary hypertension and heart failure which did.

Sad thing about copd and sleep apnea is they can be easily treated if caught early.

That’s true, medical treatment has changed dramatically these days x

I was annoyed though when I received that call in the afternoon saying I hadn't got the job and they were lucky they hadn't rang in the morning as I would have snapped their heads off if they had!

What upset me Monday afternoon wasn't the not getting the job in itself no it was their attitude towards me that did and I had felt like telling them how the world doesn't revolve around them and their stupid job but never did and reckoned when I had calmed down that it was a blessing in disguise not getting that job if they were going to have a nasty attitude towards me!

I said to one of my friends how they had sat in the interview with faces like slapped bums and they said how that said it all and felt they had done me a favour not giving me the job as he feels there's no need for rudeness.

On Thursday when I got the call from the city council saying they were sorry but I hadn't got the job with them I was disappointed but not angry like I was on Monday afternoon as the city council were fair and constructive in their feedback and were polite at interview so if anything else comes up with them in the future I will happily reapply to them as with that one someone else had that bit more to offer to them which is one of those things thats beyond my control.

That job I went for last Friday wasn't a waste as it was a lesson not to go to that employer again.

The only time things are a waste is when nothing gets learned from them.

Just shows you Hidden You’ve had so much life experience of interviews and people that you know exactly what to look for and who the best employers are!
