Ruth, I am so sorry this BD makes for a tough path itself, without added stresses and worries.

I am not making excuses for your OH but watching us go through BD is awful for our loved ones too... thinking of you, try and sleep it always makes me feel so much better when I've had a sleep. Jill

Hi Ruth

How awfull that must have been a big shock to you....hopefully they can treat it pretty swiftly.

I bet you are trying to take it easy as I know I would be...not easy when other people arround you want to join in the sorry for themself act, instead of helping. Hopefully it will be a short lived fall off the wagon.

Hope you don't mind me saying this...take care

Hey Ruth Hun,

Sad to hear your news hun........sometimes you just want someone to put their arms around you and tell you it's all gonna be alright. We've got big shoulders hun......cry on ours here anytime you need to.

I try not to judge other people.....we all get through the pain of living in our own individual ways, even if it is inappropriate for the occasion and is a complete pain in the arse. It seems like a very selfish opt out but then who am I to point the finger. I guess some people just can't cope and resort to what they know best. Really not helpful to you at all when you really need it and expect it from a close partner.

I just know you could do without trying to cope with his problems at a time like this and it really isn't fair when you, above all others, need all the support of your close family and friends you can get. Please try to remember that we are your family as well and someone is always here to listen and comfort you when you really believe their is no help to be had. I am sure I am not the only one on here to offer a shoulder to cry on Hun....we all care deeply.

Please keep us updated on your progress and likely treatment. Saying it outloud and sharing can help a great deal when you haven't got the support of someone who can focus on your problems when you need them to.

Take care Hun...thinking of you. Talk again soon please. big hugs xx

Hi Ruth, please stay strong....I know it's easy for us to say as we aren't the ones going through what you are. Please don't do anything silly as I hope that I can speak for everyone on this site 'we are here for you'

Sorry to hear your news hun. A bomb shell and a half. Keep your chin up. BD is so unpredictable and catches us when we are off guard. Positive mental attitude is what I tell myself when am having a bad time of it. Not that easy I know. Fingers crossed for you that you get treatment fast.

If you need to have a blow out and want to have a good old rant I am a good listener. CG x
