I live near Edinburgh in Scotland and my rheumatologist is good but I never really get all my answers, answered and wondered if anyone else was in Scotland or if there is a centre of Excellence in Scotland?

Best help in scotland
Hi kjalex
I live in Dundee.I see a range of specialists depending on the issue at the time.I was given the name of prof Belch who has interest in Behcets from the society.Contact the society and they will give you names of specialists in your area. Also a new support group has started in Scotland again they will have details.
Hi I live in Hamilton and attended the first behcets group meeting in scotland back in september. Catherine OHara is the contact. I will get her e-mail for you if you need it. We will not get a centre of excellence in Scotland not enough people yet I am afraid. I have many consultants but feel I need a new fresh set of eyes on it just like yourself.
Here you are contact e-mail address. Hope it helps. support@behcetscotland.co.uk
Hi there
I lead the support group in Scotland and we are having a meeting on Friday 28 March in the Central Library, Edinburgh at 12.45 pm. You would be most welcome. Unfortunately there is no Centre of Excellence in Scotland yet but the Scottish Government has made a commitment to support rare diseases in Scotland and we are working behind the scenes to try and get something similar in Scotland. My email address is catherineohara34@gmail.com if you want to contact me. I also see Professor Belch at Ninewells in Dundee and have been very pleased with the care that I've been given but I know this varies across Scotland.
