I saw a friend today with ms,.She told me about this wonder drug called LDN. I've looked it up and says it can be used go treat behcets. The problem is getting it proscribed as drug companies aren't interested as it not a big money spinner. Anyway has anybody heard or even tried it? The results are meant to be amazing!!!

Never heard of it. Wonder how much it costs? I've looked it up too and it seems to be a very new drug and the manufacturers are saying they're doing it for a dollar a day. Hmmmm
I used to get a private prescription and then you buy it from a Scottish pharmacy (all official) and they send it to you, it only cost about £30 a month at the time. I didn't use it for behcets and it didn't work for me, a friend had a lot of improvement on it. It has very little side effects but can't take it if your on opiates (but I was allowed to take tramadol in the day and ldn at night but not together)
I think it really does help some people but it seems to almost have cult following online, I joined a yahoo group or two about ldn and people almost got shot down if they said it wasn't working for them, told they weren't trying hard enough or were doing something like eating a wrong diet. I've never known a drug to have such a 'community'
Thanks vicky, did you get the prescription from your normal gp or consultant? I've heard most won't write you one. Also did you take any other meds with LDN?
Thanks to Di, for that link, it's given me food for thought, anything worth a try..
I have Behcets and I've been taking LDN for over 60 days now and have had amazing results. I spent most of the past 2 years in bed and on a lot of pain meds. I'm off all pain meds and just struggle with migraines now. I started feeling better just a few days after I started taking LDN. I haven't experienced any side effects and no time back in bed. I dare to say I feel almost normal again. As far as I can tell, here in the States you can only get it from a Naturopath. Good luck to you!
Hi, to be honest it really helped with cronic fatigue and headaches but not so much with the skin and ulcers. I also found it made me feel brighter generally and less brain fog.
