Hi guys

I was diagnosed with exactly the same about 6 weeks ago by the rheumatologist; he wasn't sure if it was linked the Behcets either!
I have had steriod injections in my hip for approximately 12 years for Buritis. They measured my legs and said it was because I had one leg slightly longer than the other so had obviously taken more weight for years. Not sure this is right, always felt more like an Arthritic pain to me.
Probably another wierd and wonderful side effect of the good ole BD!!!!!!!!!!

People with Rheumatoid arthritis are susceptible to it so it's interesting you mention arthritic pain. Then again, BD can cause arthritic type pain and is an autoimmune condition just like Rheumatoid! Sometimes it feels like we will never get off the roundabout of what is/isn't/might be/might not be...... I guess wherever treatment and management are the same whatever the cause, it doesn't really matter, but we do like to know what's happening to our bodies don't we?
Goodness, it never ends does it!
I don't think you and I should be thinking about 'ends' D!
guffaw
I hope you didn't have a mouthful of doughnut when you did that.
From my non medical knowledge but personal experience, I would say that the fact that bursitis is inflammation could indicate that it is connected to/caused by BD, but it could also be attributable to injury, pressure, infection, some medication, repetitive use of a particular joint, and other health conditions, so I am not surprised Docs can’t categorically say it is caused by BD in every case. However, I don't know if yours is something different Moys as I don't know what sp means.
she's querying the spelling my darling
Moi? Tum tee tum, la la la.... I wasn't really m'lady, 'onest. I just looked it up to check it was the same thing I have and that is how it was spelldered on the webstie wot I lookded at.
Edit, because I wasn't sure if it was Burp-itis, which I also suffer from. Pardon.
Hee Hee Tigerfeet... I definitely know I don't gave burp-itis as I can't burp... Well from that end anyway... No trouble at all from the other end damn it!! Haha
In that case I think we should have a thread about the weather, starting with wind.
no, no, no - that sp was Moys saying I don't know how to spell this.
No doughnuts in the house, which is probably a good thing seeing how many guffaws you're getting out of me this afternoon
Darn, I thought everyone was always talking about me. In a nice way.
Ahhhh you have both cheered me up this afternoon, have got no work done whatsoever but only 30 minutes to go then here I come bed!!!!!
Nothing beats a good laugh. Except maybe chocolate. Hope doing no work whatsoever wasn't too tiring (I find sitting in waiting rooms for hours exhausting - weird) and that you are having a lovely relaxing snooze.
I want a like box
I want a box, I've just eaten mine.
Piggy Pooh! My son is in his bedroom playing Santana music on his guitar - he is very very good!
Hey guys thanks for the answers :).... Just about the time it got bad i had a big flare so I went on steroids that really helped it but now it's back and making work hard seems I'm sitting at a desk all day!
What with the hypersensitivity and this and nerves playing up in my legs it's rather annoying and a but inconsiderate of my body really don't you think??
Sorry for the sp confusion Tigerfeet
Xx
Oops definitely a but inconsiderate but a bit too
Ps Di I LOVE Santana could you ask him to play "Smooth" for me please if he does requests
He is only allowed to play Samba Pa Ti I'm afraid - maybe the odd Black Magic Woman...
Joking aside, I wish he'd discovered this innate talent 10 years ago!

devonshiredumpling, agreed BD affects folks everywhere! i think that this forum is very interesting however because this has shown me folks all over have BD and drs really dont understand much of it anywhere. i am glad to know other folks that can understand those bad days that BD brings. thanks to all. i appreciate you.
Do you mean Bursitis? If so I had a really bursitis of my knee a few months ago. Swelt up like a big balloon and had to get it drained with a needle by my rheumatologist, and was on antibiotics as she thought it was a septic bursitis. She said she wasn't aware of bd sufferers getting bursitis
I get bursitis in my hip it comes and goes also I get inflammation of my chest muscles and my GP didn't know if they are connected to the Behcets as anyone can get it ,its still crap though
