Has anyone else experienced galactorrhea?

Hi there, I’ve been diagnosed with “likely Behcets” (don’t think they’ll ever give me a firm diagnosis).

I started experiencing galactorrhea (producing breast milk) a few weeks ago. I’ve been on the implant for almost a year, so couldn’t be pregnant and did tests anyway to be sure. I then went got referred to the breast clinic who said it was nothing to worry about and sometimes our bodies are just “weird”. They said there wasn’t an obvious link between having galactorrhea and an autoimmune picture, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Mainly out of curiosity than anything else, it doesn’t really bother me too much.

For info, I’ve never been pregnant or had kids, not been near any babies etc. So no obvious reason to start lactating.

I had galactorrhea for about ten years. They put me on bromocriptine to try to keep it down. They did an MRI and found a benign tumor in my pituitary gland that they assumed was causing it. However, I have had Behcets for 33 years, so they may have some relation. Then all of a sudden, the galactorrhea just went away one day. It has come and gone a few times, but not for as long as the first time. Good luck with it. Such a weird thing.
