So I have a question and I’m probably going to get really graphic so excuse me before I start. I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time (since the first time) in about 6 months. Before we had sex I already saw a small ulcer (wasn’t too concerned) . It’s now 2 days after and that small one has went away but my labia is swollen and it’s really painful to walk. It has swollen before but not in a long while. I’m not sure if this is Behçets related or not it’s just very swollen, no ulcers that I can tell. Has this happens to anyone else? Please help any input is welcomed.

Swollen labia
Yes this happens to me. This is usually because of my mast cell issues. There are a lot of overlaps with all these diseases. You may want to see if an antihistamine may manage this.
if your in pain go to see your gp. it probably a flair up of ulcers and intercourse has just irritated it.
Hi, a steroid ointment like synalar would take this down. I had scarring from ulcers in this area and didn’t know. Take warm, regular baths to soothe the area too. Best wishes
Thank you so much for raising this issue. I am so relieved that it is nit just me, although I am truly sorry for the pain you are in. I get a deep ache almost like a bruising before the ulceration starts and when it does my labia is so swollen it hurts to sit, walk etc. It rubs on my incontinence pads . My Rheumatologists has put everything down to “ hysteria” which is insulting and totally wrong because he has never examined me. He said my Lupus, Bechets and APS diagnoses were “ crap”. I just suffer with it. The only thing that relieves it temporarily is Instillagel syringes. If you do find anything that helps please let me know. I hope it eases for you soon xx
Thanks so much for responding! It is good to know that we’re not alone. I also had a doctor try to say that I didn’t have lupus and beçets disease after my first rheumatologists took over a year studying and diagnosing me. (He was eventually shut down by several other doctors, thank god) so I know your pain of someone trying to belittle your pain and overall illness. I get the same pain where it feel very bruised and dry. I have never heard of instillagel but I will definitely be looking into it (thanks for the tip!) but so far for me the only thing that helps is a warm soak in the bath tub. I hope your feeling much better these days sorry I’m so late responding
It is the worst discomfort and drags me down, makes me feel unclean and nothing really helps that much. I do hope that you are feeling a little better now. I am struggling badly at the moment but all we can do is fight, a day at a time. It really is good to have people who understand xx
