Morning all,
Woken up this morning with swollen joints and clicking whenever I move.
Has anyone else had this? My joint sometimes swell but I have never had so much pain in my joints where it is painful to even touch.
Feeling a bit like a clacker.

Are you taking IV remicade infusions? It is very effective for joint/spine pain & arthriris
After a mini-flare (I don't often get huge ones these days) I usually get one joint which is exceedingly painful. Often a shoulder or an ankle. It is sharply painful, swollen, hot and clicky for up to a week then eases off, as long as I'm careful to articulate the joint. If I don't move it in all directions it can take much much longer to clear or even freeze, as in frozen shoulder. I've had this several times and it's very disabling for many months. But I don't get it any more - pretty sure mobilising the joint is key to avoiding it.
My own pet theory (and the rheumatologist thinks it's a good possibility) is that calcium crystal deposits build up in the joint in response to the inflammation of the flare-up. These deposits are known to be exceedingly painful in a similar way to gout. There is a condition called crystal arthritis or pseudogout and I suspect the BD is causing something along those lines. I had an ankle arthroscopy last year and they cleared out a lot of crystal build-up from inside it.
I have no idea why it's only ever one joint that's affected. Better be thankful for small mercies, I suppose!

Yep my daughter is like that constantly. She is hyper mobile in most joints and has constant pain despite lots of physio and pacing technique.
