Eye issues

Hi. My eye sight has been coming and going but settled on worse than my normal. My opthmalogist ran me through all of the normal tests for Behcet’s. My retinas are good. My eyes are healthy. He’s concerned it’s vasculitis of optic nerves. In addition I’ve had a whole bunch of other neuro issues. My neurologist is very concerned so I’m going in tomorrow night for several tests. Cervical, head MRI MRA MRV. I’ve never had a angiogram, I think that is what he said. Has anyone else had that. The feeling is I have a major neuro Behcet’s Flare and my rheumatologist though thinks my Behçet’s is all tickity-boo.

You know me and dye lo

Be careful of dye unless you are sure you are not allergic to anything

I am preservative free and although I have been referred to oral for checks with dye, its not likely to happen, can't take the risk unless they have allergen free or do a test. Possibly pump me full of antihistamines first lol

Second, for 10 years 3 specialists had me down as vascular issues damaged my optic nerves, probably. No it did not, it turns out I have large optic nerves that you don't normally find in small white women. Now they are damaged because it was actually chronic uveitis causing all the mayhem with the vision, pressure and what not. So ask the questions yourself and don't be afraid to investigate, I should have because they are not all that special as specialists sometimes

It’s not the optical issues worrying g me as much as huge cognitive and personality changes. Balance issues........the vision is a worry but that is kind of just the tip of the iceberg for me. I’ve never had issues with other dyes. Thanks though for that. Good input.

I see my eye doctor every six months as I am on the verge of having glaucoma. My eyes get blurry which is annoying too. Keep seeing your doctor and good luck.
