I cldnt get my temp. Down. I was feverish, body freezing with chills. Ulcers are really bad, oxygen level too low, fever 102.2. Std negative, urine negative for any bacteria, doctor said before admitting me into hosp. He had to do a vaginal exam. He said. He can see the ulcers, & feel the ones inside. He also said. He wants to admit me because too much discharge from the all those ulcers, HE had talked to 2 woman colleagues Who then came in the room ,& said. Yes. We wld like to admit you make you as comfortable as possible, & come up with a plan. Finally. THANK YOU GOD! I DID MY PART ,& PRAYED. I KNEW GOD KNEW WHAT I'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH ,& HE DID HIS PART. AMEN! OK. THEY DID ALOT OF SWOBS, 2 Rheumatologist. 1 who only seen 2 behcets ulcers, & the other who has seen a lot of patients in his career with behcets. They give me norco every 6 hrs. When they finally got my fever down with norco, 2 Tylenols, an ice pack. Then they stuck butterfly needle in 2 different places to get 4 tube of blood with solution in them to see if I have bacteria in my blood stream. Takes 48 hrs for results. Rheumatologist started me on meds that is treated for Gout. I am still in hosp since 8:30p Thurs. Admitted 5a. My oxygen has been low. If I go to get up. The alarm gos off! I am to get a nurse if I need to use bathroom, or sit on recliner to take a wash clothes bath.

I am so glad docs are helping. I hope you are starting to feel better and can get som rest. Although sounds challenging with those alarms constantly going off. Good job staying faithful, God always comes through

Bella623. Thank you. My adult children are a different story! They kept calling ,& texting me about what they needed, & wanted! With attitudes! I was sobbing because it truly hurts! My adult children since 8:30p Thursday until this evening they never asked me how I'm doing ect... no concern, no compassion, no love for me ,& this hurts! They're all about themselves me,me,me! What they can get , what they want to do ,& what they refuse to do! They feel some kind of entitlement. I was also sobbing because none of my adult kids who live at home wld help thier 5 yr old brother Noah Isaiah my baby son do his home work, no one wld walk 2 blocks to take him to school, you can see playground from our porch! No one wld take him for a bath, no one wld change his clothes, Noah vomited 2a this morning, he said his ears,& head hurts! I am yelling begging sombody anybody give your brother meds!!! Finally. I asked a good friend I've known for years if she wld please take My 12 yr old Magdalena who spends wend there alot but take my son as well. She said. Yes. Again. Thank you God! I cldnt focus on me, because of them neglecting thier little brother this is sickening to me! Dnt want to get jobs, just leach off me , dnt contribute, dnt respect, ect...Now I am relaxing because I'm not answering thier text ,& calls anymore. I've always been there for them! Dnt do drugs, dnt drink, dnt party. I am so tired. God Bless everyone in this group, & your families! Mmmwwaaa!

Sounds like you have the start of sepsis. Happened to me too. Literally just had happened, no cut no infection- boom. sepsis was starting. I had pus coming out of my genital ulcers amongst other things. STD's of course negative. If they put you on flagyl (metronizole) TAKE A PROBIOTIC. ASK FOR YOGURT WITH LIVE CULTURES. I ended up started a nasty cycle of yeast overload aka thrush and vaginal yeast infections for months after taking that drug.

Keep us posted and I pray you are much better very soon. Sounds like you got a horrible flare and dangerously took a turn toward or into sepsis. If they give you antibiotics, have them watch your blood count...specifically ask for CBC with differential. Every single time they put me on antibiotics my white cell count and my absolute neutrophil counts drop dangerously low (lower than someone who just received chemo). No one knows why or can figure it out. I never had that problem until Behcet's started. I don't think it is a common issue with the majority of Behcet's patients but wanted to throw it out there in case your symptoms improve but you start feeling worse in other ways. It could be your WBC and ANC counts dropping too low which can also be fatal. Keep the faith!
