Mycophenolate Mofetil & Abdominal Bloating - does anyone get abdominal bloating with this medication? if so, does anything help?

Hi Beth. Im 19 and Ive been on mycophebolate for about a year and a half with a clenil modulite inhaler. I havnt experienced any kind of bloating with this medication but as we all know everyone can experience different symtoms on the same medication. When I'm bloated going for a short walk or jog (if my joints are feeling ok) and that really helps me. If its lasting a long time maybe see your gp or ask your specialist if anyone else has experienced the same thing. (:

I've recently had a repeat colonoscope that showed several ulcers and inflammation in the acsending colon, and severe ulceration with inflammation and odeama in the ileum and around the valve.

I also had a positive breath test indicating small bowel bacterial overgrowth. I think all this is responsible for the abdominal discomfort & symptoms.

I've had my 1st infusion of Infiximab and will have the 2nd at the end of this week. I'm hoping this will settle all my symptoms xxx

Hi there....I take aloevera every day before meals and it works well for bloating and calming down ulcerations. I also take potters slippery elm formula after meals and this is great for indigestion, acid, wind and heartburn.

These are both natural remides and so you might want to check with your Doctors. I have difficulty taking most tablet form treatments an am now on infliximab infusions instea and find it is the best for me so far....it will take a little while to really get going....so hope it works well for you
