Behcet's is a form of Vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels). This is lupus: nhs.uk/Conditions/lupus/Pag... Lupus patients usually test positive for the genetic marker hlab27

Just adding to Zebra's response which is spot on - In my mind, Lupus is roughly similar in initial symptoms but its development is significantly different. It is possible to have both Behcets and Lupus too. :(

Before I was diagnosed with behcets I like most of bd suffers were tested for lupus I was told there's no test for bd but lupus can be ruled out with a blood test

If BD is on a gene, is it on the same gene as lupus. My 11 yr old granddaughter has been diagnosed with Behcets, but also showed a low positive for Lupus. She had a horrible time with the mouth and genital sores, and some skin problems on the back of her upper arms. I've read you can have both. As long as the sores are gone she seems to feel pretty good.
