Hi! I’ve been on the pill (rigevidon) for 6 years now and I often take pill packs back to back to better control my periods. I’ve taken a few back to back recently (maybe around 4-5 packs) and I’m half way through my current pack and haven’t missed any pills. I’ve been experiencing light break through bleeding over the last 5 days, I had cramps at one point too and now though the cramps are gone I’m having hip pain. It hurts when I move around. I’m not sure if I have overdone taking the pill packs back to back and whether I should continue to the end of this pack (still have two weeks left) or stop and take a short break now- some sites say I could take a 4 day break but I’m concerned that this will make me vulnerable to becoming pregnant. Thanks for your advice in advance!

If you have a leaflet on these, you need to read it again... They are clearly designed to take for 21 days only then miss 7 days. If you are taking them back to back and not allowing yourself a period then it's not surprising you are beginning to have problems. I suggest you speak with your gp.
