Levest

I have been on Levest for 5 months and I have noticed the last 3 months I have been very itchy. It is only during the first 2 weeks of a new pill packet. The itch goes but I still feel a bit dry and sore during sex but my OH says I don't feel dry so not even sure if dry is the right word to use. Should I speak to my GP about changing my pill?

Some women are sensitive to increased oestrogen due to the combined pill and may have vaginal candida as a result ...not necessarily with discharge . You could try self treating for candida with OTC treatment from a pharmacy and see if that makes any difference. Secondly some women may experience vaginal dryness due to the progestogen in the pilll ...if this persists then it may be worth changing the pill. There are 20mcg pills , and pills with different progestogens.
